Key benchmark records extended picks up and strike new intraday high in mid-morning trade. At 11:18 IST, the gauge index, the S&P BSE Sensex, was gain 121.67 points or 0.40 Percent at 30,871.70. The Nifty 50 index was gain 32.25 points, or 0.34 Percent, at 9,542. 

The Sensex and the Nifty, both, strike their record high levels in mid-morning exchange. The Sensex increased 183.18 points, or 0.60 Percent at the day's high of 30,933.21 in mid-morning trade, its record high level. The index drop 4.46 points or 0.01 Percent at the day's low of 30,745.57 in early exchange. The Nifty increase 52.35 points, or 0.55 Percent at the day's high of 9,562.10 in mid-morning exchange, its record abnormal state. The record drop 14.35 points, or 0.15 Percent at the day's low of 9,495.40 in early exchange. 

Telecom shares were in demand. Bharti Airtel (gain 2.84 Percent), Tata Teleservices (Maharashtra) (gain 1.63 Percent), Reliance Communications (gain 0.96 Percent), MTNL (gain 0.89 Percent) and Idea Cellular (gain 0.69 Percent), edged upper. 

Telecom tower infrastructure provider Bharti Infratel was gain 0.08 Percent to Rs 373.65. 

IT Stocks were merged. MphasiS (gain 1.40 Percent), Wipro (gain 1.04 Percent), Hexaware Technologies (gain 0.89 Percent), Infosys (gain 0.80 Percent) and HCL Technologies (gain 0.12 Percent), edged upper. Oracle Financial Services Software (fall 0.37 Percent), Persistent Systems (fall 0.38 Percent), TCS (fall 0.61 Percent), MindTree (fall 0.74 Percent) and Tech Mahindra (fall 0.77 Percent), edged down.
